Before renaming, you need to ensure that the AirPods are connected to the device.
For iOS- iPad or iPhone
- Open Settings on the device
- Go to Bluetooth
- Click on the ‘i’ icon beside your AirPods to get more options
- Click on the Name option and rename it as per your choice
For Mac
- Go to System Preferences
- Hit the Bluetooth icon
- Using the mouse right click or double-click the AirPods and choose the Rename option
- Give your desired name and click on the Rename button
For Android
- Go to Settings on your Android device
- Click on Connections
- Hit Bluetooth
