Expanding its Automation Push, Meta Adds Manus AI Tools To Ads Manager

Continuing its push for advanced artificial intelligence solutions, Meta is integrating Manus AI tools into its Ads Manager. Manus will take over time-consuming functions like audience research, campaign reviews and report creation, automating a large chunk of research and analytical functions. This will also enable advertisers to focus on strategy and more important decision-making while boosting the advertising ecosystem for Meta Platforms.

What is Manus AI?

Taking the baton forward from traditional AI chatbots, Manus AI is an advanced “action engine”, which has been designed to perform complex tasks such as research, report writing and workflow automation.

Meta Platforms acquired Manus, a Singapore-based AI start-up, in December 2025 for over $2 billion, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Meta had hoped that this acquisition would give fresh momentum to its AI push for businesses and also strengthen its own Meta AI Assistant.

It is now integrating Manus AI tool into Meta Platforms Ads Manager to automate tasks that earlier required manual effort. It will initially focus on three key areas: Campaign data analysis, data reports and audience insights.

1. Campaign Data Analysis

Manus AI can monitor active campaigns and study raw data and deliver actionable insights on CPM (cost per thousand impressions) nd ROAS (return on ad spend). It also enables entrepreneurs and content creators to better understand their account data and audience’s behaviour. It can even review your competitors’ content and strategies.

2. Automated Reports

Advertisers no longer need to spend hours exporting data and writing lengthy reports. With Manus AI, you can simply ask it to “track your ongoing Facebook campaigns”, and it will generate a review report with real insights into your ad spending and returns. You can also schedule daily campaign summaries and weekly or monthly reports for regular updates.

3. Audience Research

The Manus AI tool can process large datasets and analyse behaviour patterns, helping you identify your target audiences and even subjects to start conversations. Such precise insights into your target audience can go a long way in building effective campaigns. It also recommends tweaks in your advertisement placement and budget allocation for better returns.

By automating repetitive tasks, Manus further allows marketers to focus on strategy, creativity, and more important decisions.

How to Access Manus AI in Meta Ads Manager?

Ordinary users can access Manus AI in Meta Ads Manager through the “Tools” menu, while Meta Business Suite subscribers can use in-stream prompts in their account. They can simply follow the steps below to set up and access Manus AI tool:

  1. Log into your Meta Ads Manager account.
  2. Open the left-hand menu, and click on the ‘Tools’ icon.
  3. Look for ‘Manus AI’ tool, and then look for the Connectors tab.
  4. Select Meta Ads Manager, and follow subsequent prompts to authorise access.

You can now analyse ad performance with Manus AI using specific prompts, or you can start with the pre-built prompts.

  1. Log into your Meta Ads Manager and click on the ‘All Tools’ icon.
  2. Go to the ‘Engage Audience’ section and look for ‘Business AI Beta’.
  3. You’ll see an ‘Automate your workflows with Manus AI’ banner on the main dashboard or a pop-up during ad setup with an ‘Activate/Try Now’ button.

As Meta plans to strengthen its advertising ecosystem, it is betting big on Manus AI tools. Meta Platforms has been under immense pressure to show returns on its AI investments. But until now, all its automation attempts – whether it was Advantage+ or Andromeda – required human setup and monitoring. But Manus AI is offering to actually do your work.

Limitations of Manus AI tool in Meta Ads Manager

Meta Platforms is planning to fully automate advertisements by the end of 2026. Manus AI can actually automate several repetitive and complex tasks, but it is far from replacing human advertisers. Here are some of its major shortcomings:

1. Lack of Autonomous Execution

Manus AI can flag problems like a dip in return on ad spending or rise in bounce rate, but it cannot make changes to a live advertising campaign. It still needs human oversight to adjust bids, pause ads or reallocate budgets. 

2. Not a Creative AI Tool

Manus AI is a great analytical tool, but it cannot produce an ad copy, images and videos. Advertisers using Manus AI on Ads Manager will still need separate generative AI tools like Meta’s Generative Ads Model (GEM) or Google Gemini.

3. Data Misinterpretation

Early users have reported that the free Manus AI tool misinterpreted their advertisement data and delivered incorrect reports. At times, it can base its report on incorrect/false data like phone calls in ads that don’t exist. Therefore, heavy human vetting is necessary before using its results.

4. Access Constraints

The integration of Manus AI tool into Meta Ads Manager is still in its initial phase. The advanced “action engine” hasn’t been made available to all users yet. Meanwhile, some advertisers have reported that they briefly saw the Manus AI tool on their dashboard before it intermittently disappeared.

5. Restricted Categories & Devices

Meta has barred Manus AI tool for certain advertising categories, including housing, employment, credit, social issues and pharma. Besides, the integrated Manus AI section is primarily accessible on desktop only. It is also unclear how Manus stores or retains sensitive ad account data.

Adding Manus AI to Meta Ads Manager can make it a lot easier to manage digital marketing campaigns. This is part of a larger shift toward smarter advertising systems and wider acceptance of AI solutions.
