WhatsApp seems to be working on a latest way for editing messages you might have already sent. With the ‘edit message’ add-on, you can edit the text within few minutes of having sent it.
What’s on cards?
The feature is currently under development but could soon be available universally. WABetaInfo recently shared a screen grab of this feature on chat screen. There are chances that the Edited tag will be put up against edited messages. However, the past message versions might not be up for the eyeballs.
WAbetaInfo further reports that the edit option will work until 15 minutes into sending the message.
Summing up
The latest feature is still under works, which means even WhatsApp beta users won’t be having access to this feature for the present. As we move closer to the official launch, this feature might get rolled out over to the beta testers.
