Gone are the days when you could get a Disney+ Hotstar subscription free or almost free with a Jio prepaid plan. Jio probably wanted its users to enjoy IPL as well as OTT content and thus offered a plethora of cheap prepaid plans bundled with the subscription. However, in a shocking move, Jio silently discontinued a bulk of its Disney+ Hotstar plans.

Only two options exist as of now and those are priced on the higher side. One is the Rs. 1,499 plan that offers 2GB of data every day at 4G speed for 84 days The other one is the Rs. 4,199 plan that includes 3GB data every day at 4G speed for 365 days. Both plans offer 100 SMS a day, unlimited calling, access to several Jio apps, and a Disney+ Hotstar subscription for a year or 365 days.
Previously Jio has over 10 plans that included the subscription. But the Rs 333, Rs 499, Rs 583, Rs 601, Rs 783, Rs 799, Rs 1,066, Rs 2,999, and Rs 3,119 plans do not exist on their website or app. Even the add-on plans of Rs. 151, Rs. 555, and Rs. 659 cannot be found either.

Jio did not say anything about this sudden change but it could be possible that the telco is planning to add new offers since the T20 World Cup is upon us. A similar sort of thing happened last year also and then in December Jio introduced new offers.
What to do?
It is best to wait for further information from Jio. The company informs about new offers through its official website or app, My Jio. We need to keep checking the app or website every few days to know about new plans or offers.
