Why is Yahoo Answers shutting down?
Yahoo, which was taken over by Verizon Media Group in 2017, explained the reason for shutting down Yahoo answers forever. It said that one of the reasons behind this step is the declining popularity. Since Yahoo Answers’ debut, sites like Reddit and Quora have expanded exponentially, giving users a chance to ask the online public any question they have in mind.
The website further noted: “To that end, we have decided to shift our resources away from Yahoo Answers to focus on products that better serve our members and deliver on Yahoo’s promise of providing premium trusted content.”
