It was only in 2020 that Apple bombed the earphone segment with its Apple AirPods Pro true wireless earphones, bringing active noise cancellation functionality to the company’s AirPods lineup. Now it is being speculated that the company is all set to launch its successor, AirPods Pro 2 True Wireless Earphones real soon.

As per the leaked images floating on the Internet, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 true wireless earphones is expected to have a more rounder-shaped earphone design. It will also flaunt the in-ear design, offering active noise cancellation feature support.

The second-generation Apple AirPods model is said to be to be powered by the Apple H1 chipset, the same chipset that powers most of the AirPods series devices, including the current-generation of AirPods Pro. While the audio experience for the upcoming version is expected to be the same as what the current model offers, the AirPods Pro 2 could come with some additional features, including support for water resistance, among others. There are also rumours that Apple AirPods pro 2 true wireless earphones could come in two different sizes — one regular and another larger. 

Apple AirPods Release Date

According to Japanese Apple site Mac Otakara, The AirPods Pro 2 release date could be somewhere in April 2021. It says the new AirPods Pro will appear at around the same time or even along side the much-awaited iPhone SE 3. However, as per the Bloomberg Report, AirPods Pro 2 won’t be with us until the fourth quarter of 2021.

The rumored wireless earbuds might be cheaper than the most expensive Apple earbuds currently on the market. Even though we have not been able to get our hands on the AirPods Pro just yet, the original AirPods Pro have received a hefty upgrade that allows for immersive Dolby Atmos sound and a nifty auto-switching feature.Even so, there does seem to be some misunderstanding over whether Apple would upgrade the AirPods Pro or launch a cheaper, Lite version of the earbuds.
