Confirmed details about the device

In an interview with Wallpaper magazine, the CEO of Nothing Carl Pei, and head of design Tom Howard confirmed that the company is going to feature wireless charging in its first-ever smartphone. Along with this, it will include a transparent back on the smartphone and the frame of the phone would be made of recycled aluminum. Howard labelled the manufacturing process of the smartphone as a “jigsaw puzzle”.

Pei also confirmed that the brand is using the wireless charging coil as the main element in the mobile’s design.

The smartphone is the second product launch by the company. The first product that was launched was Nothing ear 1 headphone, this product also featured a transparent design.

In another tweet by Pei, it seems that the transparent design of the phone will showcase all the components and parts under the hood. Also, the design shown in the tweet is much more like a Massimo Vignelli’s New York subway map.

However, we can expect some more features and specifications that could be revealed in the coming months.
