  5. Now, tap on the recall option. 

The email message is will be recalled. Keep in mind that an email can be recalled only if it is unread. Therefore, we recommend recalling emails right away. 

You cannot only recall email messages in Outlook and Gmail but you could send a replacement message. Unfortunately, this can only be done on Outlook. Replacing an email is possible only if the message is unread.

1. Go to sent items 

2. Open the wanted email message

3. Navigate to the Message tab then tap on Click actions

4. A drop-down menu will appear. Go to recall this message button

5. Select the recall option and then click on ‘delete unread copies and replace message’

To utilize this feature follow the following steps:

  1. Open Gmail 
  2. Go to settings click on labs
  3. Enable the ‘undo send’ setting and save changes

Make sure to press the undo button as soon as it shows up on the screen. This link only appears for 30 seconds. If that time is missed, the user won’t be able to recall the message. 

What to do if recalling fails
