Instagram Subscribe Button: How to Turn it on

Instagram Subscriptions help creators offer selective content and perks to highly active followers. It helps them monetize their profiles by engaging followers at a monthly fee. The subscribers can subscribe through in-app purchases on their smartphones. 

Instagram Subscriptions enable creators to create content through Subscriber Lives, Subscriber reels, Subscriber posts, Subscriber stories, Subscriber badges, Subscriber broadcast channels, and Subscriber social channels. 

How to enable the subscription button on Instagram?

1.Click on Set up subscriptions.

2. Click Next. 

3. Agree to the terms and click Next. 

4. Choose the monthly pricing and click Next.

5. Click Publish and then Click Create. 

Now you’ll get a confirmation that your subscription is complete. Click on Done to allow people to subscribe to your handle. Your followers will get an automatic notification in their activity feeds in 3 days, and will find a Subscribe button on your profile. You can also click the Notify

Now button if you don’t want to wait for 3 days. 

Note: When you change the monthly subscription fee, it applies to new subscribers only. The existing subscribers will maintain their current subscription fee. 

When you turn on Subscriptions, your followers get a heads-up in their activity feed and on your profile as well which helps them to subscribe to you. The Subscription is featured under the Subscription tab found on the Followers and Following page. Further, the subscribers are differentiated with a special subscriber badge which shows up when they comment and in the primary and requests folder. Regular followers who haven’t subscribed you can also see this badge when they comment on your posts. If they tap on the badge, they’ll be asked if they want to subscribe.

If you want to apply for Instagram Subscriptions, you must: 

  • Fulfill Instagram’s Partner Monetization Policies
  • Comply with Instagram’s Community Guidelines and Content Monetization policies. 
  • Age 18 years and above. 
  • Have a professional Instagram account with 10,000 followers (minimum). 
  • Accept the Instagram Subscription Terms of Use.
