- Click on File in the menu bar
- Select Properties
- Hit the Security tab in the Document Properties window
- Choose Security Method from the drop-down options in the Document Security section
- Select No Security
- Hit OK to confirm the choice
- Click on OK again to close the Document Properties window
- Click on File and then Save
Using free programs– If you do not have an Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription, you can still be able to remove the password from a PDF file. However, you would not be able to use certain features of the PDF like editing the document. The PDF would be available as a photocopy. Here is how it is done:
