How to delete PayPal history by deleting your PayPal account?
- Log in to your PayPal account
- Click on the settings or cogwheel icon
- Click on Close your account under the Account option

- Hit the Close Account button

- The account would be closed
If you want to open a PayPal account once again using the same credentials you can do so. The account would be brand new with no trace of previous transactions. If by any chance you want to have the transaction history available offline for personal reference or tax purposes, you can do so by downloading the data. You can delete the PayPal account afterward as you choose to do.
How to download PayPal data?
- Log in to your PayPal account
- Click on the settings or cogwheel icon
- Choose Data & Privacy
- Click on Download your data under the Manage your data section

- Choose everything you want and hit the Submit Request option
- The information would be delivered to your email
If you just want to download the activity data then do the following:
- Log in to your PayPal account
- Go to the Activity section
- Click on Statements

- Click on Custom
- Make the necessary selections in the drop-down options for the Transaction type, Date range, and Format
- Then click on Create Report

- The report would be sent to your email address once ready
