Motorola is all set to get a control of the smartwatch market by launching the new Moto 360 on Wednesday at the IFA 2015 hosted in Berlin. The new wearable comes with a premium look that is expected to compel trendy users to get it in their collection instead of the traditional watches.
Available in cases of two-different sizes
Keeping in mind the different types of choices, the watch is made available in two different sizes. One of which is priced at $299, while the other is priced at $429. The price will not just vary with the size but also with the type of band users select for their watch. Even though it is a unisex watch, the company has planned 42mm case design for women 42mm as well as 46mm for men. Yet, 42mm watch suits best on slimmer wrist.
Apart from design, the makers are also careful about the sturdiness of the device and has used 316L aircraft-grade stainless steel for its manufacture. The screen is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass.
While the look of the Moto 360 has created a hype among the users, many are excited to know about the light weight of the device. Though the device has been unveiled officially, it can now be booked only in the United States as global launch is planned in the coming days. The price may also change during the global launch. … Read the rest
Two latest leaks of the new Moto 360 smartwatch suggest a sleek new design. One is a Moto 360 leak on Reddit, while the other has been posted on Google Plus. Although these images are not up close, they do look like the next generation Moto watch. We have, in fact, spotted how the casing will look like in the images.
Up Close With The Moto 360
In the Reddit Moto 360 leak, the smartwatch seems to flaunt a circular design interface with a leather wristband complete with a gold dial. The Reddit user who posted this pic wrote, “This photo was taken right behind the Merchandise Mart in Chicago today. She was walking down the street when I noticed the lugs and grabbed a pic.”
The other leaked image has been uploaded via Google+ and also reveals that the Moto 360 will come in a circular design. The upcoming Moto 360 comes with a power button that has been placed at the 2 o’clock position. Earlier, we had seen this button at the 3 o’clock position. Notably, both leaks come from users in Chicago city.
The Reddit image also reveals that the next-gen Moto 360 could come with a microphone towards the left. This points to the probability of users being able to answer voice-calls without a connected device. The watch will feature bezels thicker than what we saw on the first generation Moto 360.… Read the rest
We have already seen Motorola’s Android smartwatch, the MOTO 360, which is till date the most interesting and ‘smart’ wearable device running on Google platform. Many other such devices flooded the market post its launch, but no one claimed to be the best. Once again, the rumor-mill suggests some good news as a ‘successor’ of the MOTO 360 could be coming soon. It will even have an exciting new nomenclature as ‘Smelt’.
A month ago, there was a news leak by a Lenono executive about Motorola’s alleged manufacturing of a new model for the smartwatch. Although that post was immediately removed from the net, the tech world has not forgotten it. Continuing with the same news, there is a new picture of ‘Smelt’ that has been making the rounds online.
Thin bezels, steel body and 360×360 pixels resolution–from the looks of it, the all-new MOTO 360 ‘Smelt’ will surely blow one’s mind away.
Like the original model, this will also run on Android 5.1, but one flaw that we are expecting to be corrected in the new one is the break-prone plastic back of the watch. We are hoping that the makers will give us an unbreakable back this time, so that the ‘smartwatch’ stays forever!
Customization of this new watch is also expected to be done by Moto Maker website of Motorola. For WiFi lovers, this new model will offer great connectivity using and help users stay online on the go!… Read the rest
