Smart classrooms are transforming India’s education system. The digital switch is not limited to private schools but even a number of government schools have started running smart classes. To revolutionise education, Samsung has added 80 Navodaya Schools under the Samsung Smart School initiative. Samsung smart classes India will be made available at 625 JNV schools and 10 Navodaya Leadership Institutes in 835 classrooms across the country.
Reinforcing its commitment to #PoweringDigitalIndia, every smart class set under this initiative is well equipped with an interactive Samsung tablets, Samsung Flip, a printer, a server, 24 hour power backup, and the latest digital learning content.
Spread across 17 states, Samsung smart classes in India are primarily being set up in remote rural districts such as Dahod in Gujarat, Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir, Sukma in Chhattisgarh, Baksa in Assam, and Darjeeling in West Bengal. In the Samsung smart classes, students will be taught Science, Mathematics, English, and Social Science in an engaging and visually appealing manner, helping them learn better and improving retention.

Aim of Samsung Smart Classes in India
The South Korean company is dedicated to harnessing its legacy of innovation to positively transform communities and create a better life for people through its citizenship initiatives. The company’s flagship citizenship initiative is designed to link the digital divide between rural and urban India. It aims at providing equal opportunities for quality education to children from different backgrounds.
Samsung Smart School initiative commenced in 2013 and has since benefitted over 4.3 lakh students in the country. JNV schools are managed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to provide modern education to talented children even in the remotest location in rural India. Currently, there are 661 JNV schools run successfully by MOE.
With addition of 80 more smart classes at JNVs, the Samsung Smart School initiative will be now be available at 625 JNV schools and 10 Navodaya Leadership Institutes in 835 classrooms across the country, impacting 5 lakh students. It will further enable students to learn and grasp complex concepts more easily in a digitally interactive environment.
