Reliance Jio aimed to roll out its 5G network across the majority of cities in India by 2023. It seems to be achieving its objective within just three months of launching its 5G network. Jio 5G is now available in more than 80 cities and shall continue to grow. Jio also declared itself to be the first as well as the solo operator to introduce 5G in most cities.

How to get Jio 5G services?
Jio is not available for commercial use yet. Thus, you cannot buy the service from the operator. However, Jio is giving out invites to selected users to use their 5G services. If you are one such person who received the ‘Jio Welcome Offer’, you can connect and enjoy ‘Unlimited Data’ at up to 1 Gbps speeds at no extra cost. However, you need to have an active recharge plan of Rs. 239 or more for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
How to check for ‘Jio Welcome Offer’?
If you own a 5G smartphone then open the My Jio app and check for the offer. Jio also sends WhatsApp messages and SMS if the device is ready for Jio 5G connection.
How to connect to the ‘Jio True 5G’ network?
As soon as you receive the ‘Jio Welcome Offer’, switch your device’s network settings to 5G/4G/LTE, etc. and you are set. If your location is not covered under the 5G network, you can visit any Metro Station to enjoy the 5G services on your smartphone.
