OnePlus launched its much-awaited smartwatch on March 23 along with the flagship OnePlus 9series. Available in ‘Moonlight Silver’ and ‘Midnight Black’ colours, the OnePlus Watch is set to compete with the likes of Oppo, Realme and Xiaomi. Apart from the ‘Classic Edition’, the watch is also available in a ‘Cobalt Limited Edition’.
OnePlus Smartwatch price in India was recently announced for the Classic Edition. The company is giving an inaugural discount on the price to buyers across India to boost sales. However, the company is yet to reveal the price of the Cobalt Limited Edition. It is also being speculated that a ‘Cyberpunk 2077 Edition’ designed for video game lovers may be in the pipeline.

Technology and fitness enthusiasts were eagerly waiting for the OnePlus Watch launch date and price in India.The company finally introduced the watch in the market through a global launch event on March 23. The OnePlus Smartwatch price in India was also disclosed along with the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.
Originally listed at Rs 16,999, the company is offering the watch at an inaugural price of Rs 14,999.OnePlus Smartwatch price in India further goes down by Rs 2000 when payment is made through SBI credit cards or EMI transactions. Currently the watch is listed as ‘Coming Soon’ on OnePlus’ official website.
The company shall begin taking OnePlus Watch preorders in April. The Early Access Sale for Red Cable Club members shall go live at 9 AM on April 15. Users can tap on ‘Notify Me’ to receive an email when the product is ready for shipping. They can also check the delivery details of the smartwatch in their respective location by entering the Pin code.

The OnePlus Watch comes with a circular dial and sapphire glass protection. The straps of the Classic Edition are made of a strong, resistant material called fluoroelastomer. The Cobalt Edition, on the other hand, has vegan leather straps.
The smart wearable is water resistant and comes with IP68 rating. It is made of stainless steel and has two buttons on the side. Other standard specifications encompass a 1.39-inch display, 454×454 resolution and 4GB storage. The company has said that the sleek watch features RTOS style software, the one that is found in Amazfit watches.
It is a true fitness watch and boasts of 110 modes for workout and SpO2 oxygen saturation monitoring. It also provides info on your stress levels, heart rate, sleep patterns and breathing. All of these features can be tracked accurately through the OnePlus Health app. However, it doesn’t feature the ECG functionality since it’s an affordable smartwatch.
The watch is also capable of detecting some workouts on its own. This means that when you start the activity, the watch will automatically start tracking key metrics and pause when you stop. The Zen Mode can also be accessed by OnePlus phone users for controlling distractions.
An interesting aspect that users are looking forward to is the ‘seamless connection’ feature. The watchcan be easily connected with other devices from the company such as the OnePlus TV. When connected, it automatically turns off the TV in case you sleep while watching. The smartwatch is also equipped with a speaker and a microphone for responding to calls on the go.
Just like other OnePlus devices, the smartwatch supports Warp Charge that powers the watch for 24 hours in just 5 minutes. If you charge it for 20 minutes, you are sorted for one whole week. It is noteworthy that the company’s first smartwatch runs on its own operating system and not on Wear OS by Google Smartwatches.
As per the specifications, the OnePlus Watch looks like a premium product available at a decent price. The actual performance will be unveiled after the watch hits the shelves in April. It may turn out to be a good buy for Android users looking for an all-in-one watch from a reliable brand.
