As OnePlus pushes the paddle on its plans to launch a range of smart TVs, the rumored OnePlus SmartTV launch date of 29 September seems unlikely. In an interview to Economic Times, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that no date has been set for the launch. However, it could fall some time in 2020! India is likely to be one of the first markets for the OnePlus SmartTV launch, Lau has said.

Interestingly, latest reports suggest that the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company is expected to reveal a range of smart TVs. Keeping in line with their smartphones, the company should release smart TVs also at a competitive price. High competition in the smart TV industry would mean great entertainment for global consumers. If the Android-based OnePlus SmartTV doesn’t launch in 2019, we can expect it to be smarter. Apart from that, the SmartTV could have also some new and high-end specifications.
