To have a Community Tab available for your YouTube channel, you need to have at least 500 subscribers. The requirement used to be 1000 subscribers before. Once you have the required number of subscribers, the Community Post section would appear within a week on your channel.
However, if your channel is customed as a Kids channel, you would not be eligible for the Community Tab. Also, the Community Tab would not be available to you if you are using YouTube through a supervised account.
How to create a Community post?
Once you have access to the Community Tab, you can begin posting to engage with your audience. To create a Community post, you need to:
- Sign in to YouTube
- Choose the Create option at the top of the page
- Select Create post
- Type a message in the box to create a text post
- You can also add text to a GIF, an image, or a video
- Accordingly choose to make a video, image, or poll post
- Hit the Post button
There is a limit to the number of posts a channel can create within 24 hours. If you reach the limit, you would get a notification accordingly. You may try to post again after 24 hours.
How to schedule a post?
You can also schedule a post. Here is how it is done:
- Sign in to YouTube
- Choose the Create option at the top of the page
- Select Create post
- Type a message in the box to create a text post
- You can also add text to a GIF, an image, or a video
- Accordingly choose to make a video, image, or poll post
- Click on the down arrow next to Post and choose Schedule Post
- Select a time, date, and time zone to publish the post
- Tap on the Schedule option
