Most of us enjoy downloading the latest apps on our computers. However, many of the apps are not used either because you forget about them or just get bored using them. So, if you want to know how to uninstall apps on Mac, we’re here to help.
That said, the process to uninstall unwanted apps you downloaded from the internet is slightly different from those you installed from the App Store.
How to uninstall apps on Mac?

To uninstall the apps you downloaded from the App Store, you must use Launchpad.
Step1. Click on the Launchpad icon.
Step2. Long press any app until the icons begin to jiggle.
Step3. Select the app you want to delete and click on the ‘”X” next to the app and then click on ‘Delete’ to confirm.
Note: If the app doesn’t have a cross (X) sign next to it, you can not delete the app using Launchpad. Also, deleting the app doesn’t cancel any subscription you may have purchased with the app.
- Delete apps downloaded from the internet
Follow these steps if you can’t delete the apps using Launchpad.
Step1. Firstly, click on the Finder icon in your dock
Step2. Click on the “Applications” you see on the left side of the window.
Step3. Select the app you want to remove.
Step4. If the app is in the folder, open it and check if there is an Uninstaller tool else you can drag the app to the trash can on your dock. You may also right-click on the icon and select “Move to Trash”.
If you are asked for a user name and password, you can type in the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac. The name and password could probably be the ones you use to log into your Mac.
