To keep up with the fast-growing world of social audio alternatives, Discord Stage Channel has now decided to join Twitter spaces and launched latest rival to Clubhouse. The chat application is popular among the gaming vertical and supports audio, text, and videos as well.
Discord’s new Clubhouse-like feature, Stage Channel, is available now on all platforms where Discord is available, including macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, and the web. The app already offered voice channels, which allowed everyone in them to talk freely. Clubhouse, on the other hand, is currently only available for iOS users.

Why use Discord Stage Channels?
The new Stage Channel is designed to enable audio-only calls that can be meant for bigger audiences. The platform provides the opportunity to allow certain members of the group to talk at once. This will enable to have clear conversations in structured events like community town halls or AMAs. The new feature is particularly useful for conventions, voice ask-me-anything (AMA), interviews, etc.
The platform allows users to give attention to who’s talking and who’s ready for his or her flip to communicate. It even allows the audience to raise their hands in order to be able to communicate or participate in the dialogue.
The app is although being considered as a rival to Clubhouse, it, however, separates itself from other available platforms. It does not sell advertising. Instead, it relies on a subscription-based revenue model. It offers the ability to create focused conversations with select individuals speaking to a group or an audience.
Then, there is Discord Nitro, an opt-in paid service that gives subscribers the opportunity to customise their username, add emojis, and even emojis and usernames, enhance boost streaming quality and download capacity for a fee of $9.99 per month or a cut-rateof $99.99 for twelve months.
Telegram has also recently launched latest rival to Clubhouse – Voice Chats 2.0. This platform enables customers to carry on audio-only calls with limitless individuals. It even allows users to document voice chats, share invitational hyperlinks, and also create voice-chat titles.
