Teams from Microsoft had been a game changer for office and schools during the pandemic. Microsoft Teams is now set to get an all-new version that will be rolled out around March this year.
With this latest change, the Teams app will introduce an improved resource usage setup. This will cause lesser drain on PCs as well as laptops.
This new Teams version has been under the testing phase for some time now. Of late, the preview release has been finalized for the next month. Verge has confirmed the same in its reports. The Team 2.0 or 2.1 version has been used internally with a slew of new features.
What the app could bring on?
The latest app will strain lesser on CPU and could end up consuming around 50% lesser memory space. Of course, the latter will enhance the battery life on devices that use Teams. Teams is being altered to suit the string of complaints and issues that have been reported over the years. A toggle mode too will be available for users who would like to revert back to the original Microsoft Teams version. Earlier this month, the tech giant had brought on add on that OpenAI backed GPT-3.5 backs on the Teams Premium version. The AI powered feature added more ease on features such as scripting, notes and transcription.
Summing up
The latest features on the Teams app from Microsoft come with the target that meetings can get more personalised while staying protected. Earlier, the Teams app had seen ample updates connected to virtual learning during the pandemic. This had added much value to online learning and meetings at that time.
