The fastest selling release of 2021, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is now launched on Switch. The launch of this adventure game on Switch platform is 180% bigger than Wii U original game with completely new side-adventure. It is an updated re-release of the 2013 Wii U title.
The Super Mario 3D World Launch is the he third biggest launch for a Mario platform game on Nintendo Switch, right ahead of the 2D games — Super Mario Maker 2 and New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. However, it is still behind the 3D titles — Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 3D All-Stars It is worth noting that the title’s launch physical sales is more than 2.5 times bigger than New Super Mario Bros U, but a tad bit smaller than Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is the best of Mario in one package. Although the Kyoto game maker has kept the game identical to the original, but Nintendo has packaged it with a brand-new, expansion pack-like adventure – Bowser’s Fury. It shares many similar ideas with 3D World but puts them in a new open world, one filled with constant danger – all thanks to a kaiju-sized Bowser roaming around.
Additions in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game has the same great co-op gameplay, creative levels and power-ups as the original game, but surely with some improvements. In the Super Mario 3D World part of the game, characters seem to move faster and the dash powers up quite fast. Both adventures back the newly added Snapshot Mode, which means players can now pause the action to get the perfect shot, apply filters, and even decorate with stamps.

In the new game, players can freely choose from Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Toad to start their adventure of saving the Sprixie Kingdom. Each character has a distinct playstyle—Luigi can jump extra high and Peach can float for a short time. Rosalina is also available as a playable character later in the game. Players will jump and pounce to reach the goal and collect Green Stars, coins and power-ups.
Players will also be able to collect stamps throughout your adventure in Super Mario 3D World and use them in Snapshot Mode, in both Super Mario 3D World and the Bowser’s Fury adventure, to create masterpieces to share with friends and family.
In Bowser’s Fury, Mario arrives on Lake Lapcat and is met with a rampaging Bowser. Players will join forces with Bowser Jr. and venture through an interconnected cat-themed world where enemies, flowers, and even birds take on a feline form.
