On Wednesday, Apple announced that it would host its annual WWDC or Worldwide Developers Conference online from 5th June to 9th June 2023. Additionally, on the opening day, students and developers can celebrate in person a special experience at Apple Park. For instance, they would get to watch the keynote and State of the Union.

In a release the company shared that the WWDC 2023 would spotlight the latest macOS, iPadOS, iOS, tvOS and watch OS advancements. This even is free for all developers.

Company speaks

Susan Prescott, vice president of Apple’s Worldwide Developer Relations said, “WWDC is one of our favorite times of the year at Apple because it’s an opportunity to connect with the talented developers from around the globe who make this community so extraordinary.” She further added, “WWDC23 is going to be our biggest and most exciting yet, and we can’t wait to see many of you online and in person at this very special event!”

Apple’s commitment

Apple is committed to help developers design innovative apps. And this event is one of their ways to help people with exclusive access to Apple engineers. It would also give them insight into latest tools and technologies to realize their visions. The online program would include one-on-one labs and sessions.

Understandably, there is limited space for the in-person event. To know the details on how to attend the event, people need to check the Apple Developer website and app. The Swift Student Challenge is an opportunity through which WWDC 2023 would support student developers.

Apple posted on its official website in the Newsroom section, “With the help of Swift Playgrounds — a revolutionary app for iPad and Mac that makes learning the Swift programming language interactive and fun — students from around the world are invited to create an app playground on a topic of their choice. Submissions for this year’s challenge are now open, and students can submit their work through April 19. For more information, visit the Swift Student Challenge website.”

Additional information on the WWDC 2023 would be shared on the Apple Developer website and app in advance. However, people are expecting an announcement on iOS 17. What is your intuition saying about the launch of iOS 17?
