The largest messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to keep disappearing messages even after their expiration. As per WABetaInfo, these disappearing messages can be seen within chat info in the latest section known as ‘Kept messages.’ WABetaInfo took it to Twitter to inform about the latest feature.

While disappearing messages are turned on in a specific chat, users cannot star those messages, but the messages could only be kept.

Currently, WhatsApp has a feature known as disappearing messages, allowing people to send messages to each other that will disappear after 90 days, 7 days, or 24 hours. However, the expired messages will not be dead after the new feature that the company is working on.

As of now, the feature is under development and it is not yet clear when it would be released.  But it may be available for testing in a future update of the WhatsApp Desktop beta.
