The much awaited Mandalorian season release date is confirmed. Bringing the Star Wars universe on your screen, the Mandalorian Season 2 episode 1 will hit Disney+ on Friday, October 30 for US and UK audiences. 

Jon Favreau had already confirmed in November 2019 that he was working on season 2 of the American space Western television series. He later added that the pandemic didn’t affect the release date, stating that the team had already completed filming before the worldwide shutdown. “We were lucky enough to have finished photography before the lockdown,” he said during a virtual panel for the ATX Television Festival.

“Thanks to how technology-forward Lucasfilm and ILM are, we have been able to do all of our visual effects and editing and postproduction remotely through systems that had been set up by those companies for us.”

According to Favreau, the creative team had earlier decided to kill off CreefCarga. “Carl wasn’t supposed to be in the whole show,” he said at Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. “Carl was in episode one and then got knocked off in episode three.”

He further divulged other details and also informed that Weathers’ character was also originally an alien and that he was to be in full prosthetics, as a different alien race, but later they decided on something else.

Oh, and Temuera Morrison will be playing the notorious BobaFett in the Disney+ show’s second season. Also, Katee Sackhoff aka Battlestar Galactica’s Starbuck will make a return in her animated Clone Wars character Bo-KatanKryze.

Sci-fi legend Michael Biehn will be seen heading the season 2 of The Mandalorian. As per Making Star Wars, The Terminator and Aliens star will be a bounty hunter from Mando’s past.

One thing we are sure of is that The Mandalorian Season 2 is going to be pretty huge and the creator has something epic in store for all the loyalists. 

Pedro Pascal, who plays the titular bounty hunter said, “There are some pretty mind-blowing things,”. “I think expectations will be exceeded. [Fans’] love of Star Wars will be injected with steroids.” 

The showrunner didn’t shy away from expressing his excitement and added, “The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world. The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavour, and hopefully, we are bringing a lot more scope to the show.”
