Reliance Jio has recently launched the JioFiber Backup plan. This aims to be the secondary plan for any user whose primary internet connection is down for maintenance or not working. People can also increase their internet connection speed temporarily as per requirements courtesy JioFiber.
About the JioFiber Backup plans
The plan is available for Rs. 198. They offer free landline calls, unlimited data at 10 Mbps, and the option to increase internet data speed with activation instantly. The broadband speed can be increased up to 100Mbps for a week. People can choose the five-month backup plan for Rs. 1490. The charges include the one-time installation fee of Rs. 500 as well.
Increase internet speed
The 30Mbps upgrade plans would cost Rs. 21, Rs. 31, and Rs. 101 for 1 day, 2 days, and 7 days respectively. To get up to 100Mbps speed, the prices are fixed at Rs. 32, Rs. 52, and Rs. 152 for 1 day, 2 days, and 7 days respectively.
To get the JioFiber Backup connection
It is very simple to book a JioFiber Backup connection. Just give a missed call on the number 60008 60008, go to your nearest Jio retail store, or visit the Jio website to book the connection for Rs. 99.
Other offers and plans
Users can add a set-top box connection for an extra amount of Rs. 100 every month. However, if you choose the ‘Entertainment Upgrade’ plan for Rs. 298 per month, you would get a 4K set-top box for free along with 400 live TV channels, YouTube, and 6 OTT apps.
People paying Rs. 200 extra per month get 550 live TV channels and access to 14 OTT platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, ErosNow, Zee5, SunNxt, JioCinema, VootSelect, etc.
The most expensive is the Rs 1499 per month plan. It offers 300Mbps internet speed and access to 550 live TV channels as well as 16 OTT platforms.
