In a latest update on Google Photos, there are a slew of features that enhance the Memories section on app. These include video snippets along with cinematic memory. Google had announced the addition of Memories to Photos app at the earlier part of this year.

Updates Galore On Photos

Earlier in May, Google had introduced this feature that allows users to look back through their photos from way past, as well as track activities and the moments spent with the loved ones.  The latest is an update for this Photos Memories.

Starting with a big change, Memories will feature video snippets.  Google says that the video snippets select vital bits of the video, thereby allowing users to select, then trim and finally save these snippets.

What Is New?

Photos will also come with zoom effect applied. This isn’t the same as Dynamic Zoom on Cinematic Photos. Newer swipe and navigating options too are on cards.

This updated Photos app now allows users to combine multiple images into Full Cinematic Memory using 3D zoom. The collage editor will now enable Android as well as iOS users to edit or even drag-drop photos in any user-picked layout before sharing.

An End Note

With a Google One subscription or on the Pixel device, you can access HDR and the Portrait Light features. The Photos update now brings in the ‘Style’ feature that applies graphic art automatically to the memories.
