US-based carrier AT&T has formally announced that the new LG G Watch and LG G3 smartphone are all set to be launched on its network on July 11. The carrier has already started taking orders for the LG G Watch, while the LG G3 smartphone is still in the pre-order stage. The interested buyers can now purchase both the devices from the retail locations of AT&T from July 11 onwards.
AT&T Senior Vice President of Devices Jeff Bradley has been quoted saying in a press release that “We’ve been working diligently to be the first U.S. carrier to offer the brand new LG G Watch and among the first to offer the LG G3 smartphone on the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network. AT&T offers one of the largest and best selections of LG devices and these products take our device portfolio to the next level. The LG G3 is a cutting-edge device and our first in a next-gen Quad HD display.”
The LG G3 is equipped with a 5.5-inch QHD display having a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440. It would be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor along with a 13MP rear camera with Laser Auto Focus and Optical Image Stabilization.
Meanwhile, the LG G Watch will be having a 1.65-inch display with a 250 x 280 resolution, and would run on a Snapdragon 400 processor along with 4GB of internal storage capacity.
The LG G3 comes has a price tag of USD199 on contract, USD24.17 per month with AT&T Next 18, or USD29 per month with AT&T Next 12. The LG G Watch will be available at USD229.
