Apple AR/VR Headset to come with 3 Displays & 15 Cameras

Apple is ready to launch AR/VR headset before the end of 2022, report affirms. Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple analyst says, there are chances that the company sees shortage of supplies for the mixed reality headset. The shortage of the supply will be till the first quarter of 2023. This means, only few units will be circulated during the initial release.

Recently, Facebook also launched their AR- enabled smart glasses in collaboration with Ray-Ban, luxe eyewear brand.

Will the display features include two or three displays?

Previously, it was reported that Apple’s AR/VR headset will feature with 2 micro OLED displays from Sony along with optical modules. Now, another analyst Ross Young reported that the headset may feature 3 displays on the Mixed Reality headset.

He said that the display configuration will have 2 micro OLED displays along with another AMOLED panel.

It is also expected that the Apple headset will come with at least 6-8 optical modules. This will offer continuous video see-through AR features and experience and will be quite similar to the Oculus Quest. Also, to enable few AR properties the headset will include external cameras.

Expected Price

Mixed Reality headset is expected to cost around $2,000 to $3,000, which means it will cost around 1,49,000 to RS 2,23,500 in India.

Not only this, but the headset is believed to come with some exciting power packed features which also includes 15 camera modules and eye-tracking.

Mixed Reality headset to offer Wi-Fi 6E connectivity

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also reported that the AR/VR mixed reality headset may offer Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. This will be done to meet the needs of high-end immersive experiences.

Wi-Fi 6E enables lower latency and higher bandwidth than standard Wi-Fi 6.

The rumoured headset will also come with multiple highly sensitive 3D sensing modules. This will offer innovative hand gesture and object detecting interface.
