WhatsApp to Roll Out a New Feature for Group Admins

WhatsApp keeps rolling out new features and updates at regular intervals. WABetaInfo affirms, WhatsApp is currently testing out and working on a latest feature. The feature will be out for the administrators or admins of the WhatsApp group.

Using the new feature, admins of the groups will be able to delete text messages for the other members who are in the group. As per a post by WABetaInfo, whenever the admin will delete a message for everyone in the group, user will see a message saying, “This was deleted by an admin”.

The post on twitter also stated that as per the upcoming update of WhatsApp, being a group admin, you will be allowed to delete or remove messages for the people in your group.

How will the feature benefit the group admin?

The new feature will allow the group admins to control the content shared on the group. They can remove the unnecessary messages and inappropriate content from the group.

As for now, WhatsApp users can only delete their own messages. After sending a text message, voice message, or a file, the users have one hour and eight minutes to remove the message for other people. After this time count, the users can’t delete messages.
