With Samsung releasing its Galaxy S4 in mid-May in Canada, the Pebble blue 32GB version of Galaxy S3 is being discontinued by Rogers, the Canadian carrier– so that enough space remains for Galaxy S4.
This decision taken by Rogers, has left people planning to buy the Pebble Blue 32GB Galaxy S3 feeling very unlucky. This specific version of S3 is also unavailable on online stores and handset portals. With the recent changes in place, buyers can now purchase only the 16GB blue or marble white version or the 32GB of Galaxy S3 online.
However, there is still light at the end of the tunnel. According to recent reports from Mobilesyrup, the 32GB Pebble Blue Galaxy S3 can be found at Roger’s mortar and brick stores!
While the nearing launch of Galaxy S4 is a good enough reason for the discontinuation of its 32GB version–it seems unreasonable for Rogers to stop the pebble blue variant and not the marble white one. It may also be possible that the Pebble Blue 32GB version has been discontinued because it was comparatively less popular than the others. Nonetheless, with the launch of Galaxy S4, retailers and carriers may favor the sale of their newer gadget–and may even stop selling the other available versions of Galaxy S3.

According to analysts Haydn Shaughnessy and Jefferson Wang Samsung would break the Apple spell with the launch of Samsung Galaxy S4. They have concluded that with Samsung galaxy S4 release just a few days away, the company is taking last steps in Apple’s shadow.
Both the analysts agreed that till now all the major players of the industry have been producing Apple inspired models but now it’s time that they break the trend. If we have to believe the current leaked pictures of Samsung Galaxy S4 (the OLED’s and Tizen OS) than it would be safe to say that Samsung is trying to be innovative in a wake to create its own niche.
With phones like Sony Xperia Z, HTC One and LG Optimus G Pro coming this year the competition has got tougher and in all possibilities 2013 seems like a turning point for the smart phone industry.… Read the rest
Samsung is emerging as one the strongest Smartphone makers in the industry, thanks to the befitting success of Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Still the plastic material used by Samsung is making many Samsung fans unhappy, especially the male counterparts who are on a look out for something more sturdier and metallic. We were expecting that with Samsung Galaxy S4, the story would be different and Samsung would carve the device out of metal. However the rumors suggest that Samsung would stick to its white plastic designs even for Galaxy S4.
The latest leaks of Samsung Galaxy S4 also hint that it has not changed much from its previous model in terms of looks and feel. May be this is one area where Apple iPhone 5 with its metallic chassis and aggressive looks gets a head up.
All eyes are going to be at the iconic Radio City music hall in New York on March 14th as Samsung unveils its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, to the world. The event is going to be one of the biggest in the tech world and fans across the world can check out its live broadcast.
Even though the phone is yet to release, the internet is flooded with numerous rumors about its capabilities. So if this is how much publicity the phone has managed to garner even before its release, we wonder just how big a limelight it will capture after its launch. Is archrival Apple equipped to handle one more attack from Samsung on its iPhone 5?
If it was the Galaxy S3 that ended up stealing the show last year, the launch of this phone could only spell more trouble for Apple, with the iPhone 5 sales further slumping. The iPhone 5 didn’t exactly make a huge impact on the market, and was plagued by further controversies related to the Apple Maps, issues with shareholders, etc.
Analysts are also predicting a major victory in the smartphone battlefield for Samsung over Apple over the next couple of years. They seem confident that Apple’s current iPhone 5 and even its immediate successor, the impending iPhone 5S will fail to match up to the fine capabilities of the Samsung flagship.
The numbers tell the tale – while Apple took 15 months to ship 110 million units of its iPhone 5, Samsung is expecting to touch the number in just 9 months. Samsung is also increasingly focusing on suppliers to provide ample supply of raw materials to meet the high production, probably pulling them away from Apple too.
The Galaxy S4 is rumored to have a 5-inch screen, a 13 MP rear camera and an octo-core processor. With specs like this, it’s not surprising that it could not only be one of the most powerful phones in the market, but also one that can take great pictures and allow for comfortable viewing. To take on Samsung, Apple is also rumored to have decided to launch the iPhone 5S sooner than originally planned. But would that be adequate?… Read the rest

Will Samsung unveil the upcoming flagship Galaxy S4 already? We’ve been hearing endless rumors about this beauty and each new day just gets more rumors, making us wonder just how many accidental leaks can take place. The latest in this long line of rumors is some photos supposedly clicked by the Galaxy S4 appearing on Picasa.
We do have reason to believe if there’s any truth in this, given that there’s nothing spectacular about these snaps that show the back of a computer’s CPU. However, according to the EXIF data of these files, the images were clicked by Samsung GT-I9505, which could probably be the international model number of the Galaxy S4.
The 2322X4128 resolution of the photos also points to the use of a 13 MP camera. But, given that EXIF data of an image can be altered, we don’t really know if it could be real. Besides, the quality of the images is really low, so we are hoping that this is just a fake news.… Read the rest
Even though we’d been hearing rumors about the Galaxy S4 in the making for a while, we hadn’t heard about its launch date so far. Well, the latest rumor is that we can expect Samsung’s hottest upcoming flagship smartphone to hit the market by early April. The phone is expected to launch by April 8, 2013, according a New Zealand mobile retailer’s announcement. The company is offering the Galaxy S4 as one of the prizes to a contest’s winners. The announcement also goes on to describe how the winners of this contest will get to attend an event by the end of May, leading to further speculation that the phone could be handed to them then.
This is everything we’ve heard so far on the rumored Galaxy S4:
We weren’t really sure of the upcoming phone’s name, but going by the trend, we guessed the next in line would be called the Galaxy S4. Interestingly, thanks to a slip of the tongue, we ended up receiving official confirmation from a Samsung employee itself during a presentation.
It is expected to have a 4.99-inch full HD 1080p display with a 441 ppi, which can work with the S-Pen.
The Galaxy S4 will support wireless charging via a dock, much like other leading smartphones that are already out in the market. The phone could also have an advanced technology using resonant magnetic coupling to enable this, which could let it charge from a 2 meter distance.
Some of the leaked images show the Galaxy S4 to be lacking a home button and with similar curved edges like the Galaxy S3. But of course, we’re not entirely sure if the final product would look like that.
The Galaxy S4 is rumored to be powered by a 2 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM, and is said to run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. We’ve also heard that the phone could be equipped with a 13 MP rear camera.
Its rumored competitors could be the HTC M7, LG Optimus G2, Apple iPhone 5S, Google Nexus 5 by LG, and an upcoming 6.44-inch device from Sony.
