Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Available In Netherlands; US Left Looking

Samsung has launched a new version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop to overcome issues faced by users so far. The update has been provided for users in the Netherlands currently. However, there is no news of the release in U.S. for the time being. However, sources do suggest that it is on the cards.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4The much-awaited launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is just around the corner with only 12 days left, but the company has not yet provided any details related to the pricing and features of the device. The company is scheduled to simultaneously announce the release of the Galaxy Note 4 in Berlin, Beijing and New York City on September 3 ,2014. However, the company has not yet said much about its availability, and it is expected to be commercially available on September 15 2014.

The AnTuTu benchmark listings have claimed that the device is expected to be launched in two variants, with the first variant likely to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor while the other variant with the Exynos 5433 8 Core. Both the variants would have Android 4.4.3 KitKat. Meanwhile, The Korea Times has reported that one variant will be available in a curved OLED display and the other with a flat OLED display.

Some reports are claiming that the device would be having a 16MP camera, while other are saying that the device would have a 12MP camera with OIS feature.

Indonesian retailer Erafone has claimed that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would be available with a storage capacity of 16/32/64GB with 4GB RAM along with an option of a microSD card of up to 128GB. However, earlier reports said that the device will come with 3GB RAM.

Galaxy Alpha would be released in August and would be an answer to Apple and LG’s premium range. The phone is also being called by other names including Galaxy F and S5 Prime.

As far as features of Galaxy Alpha are concerned then it would have smaller but full-HD display with thinner bezels to give an illusion of a big phone.

According to news reports, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet is likely to feature a fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is now official and all attention has now diverted towards Galaxy Note 4. Samsung has been experimenting with the fingerprinting technology off late and the company had come up with Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone initially. This had a fingerprint reader which was embedded in its home button.

Talking of its hardware specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is likely to have a 5.5 or 5.7 inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560x 1440 pixels. It is likely to be available in two processor options with one being the Samsung Exynos 5433 and the other being the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quadcore chipset.

You can also expect the Galaxy Note Phablet to have 3GB of RAM. The rumour mill was abuzz with talks of the Phablet being available in 4 GB RAM but nothing can be said with certainty on this aspect. Expect a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 2.1 megapixel resolution on the front edge. The Phablet will operate on Android 5.0 which is likely to make its debut at Google I/O 2014 conference later this month.
