Google recently released the Nexus 5 running on the recent Android Kitkat 4.4, while Motorola launched its extremely bespoken phone, Moto X, an arch rival to Nexus 5. Here is a difference between the two:
Nexus 5 vs. Moto X – Display
While the Nexus 5 comes with Full HD 5 inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, 445 ppi, Moto X comes decked with 4.7inches with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 316ppi. though Moto X resolution is not as great as Google Nexus 5, yet it is radiant and holds rich colours and contrast. If you are ready to compromise with 0.3 inch difference, then Moto X is a great choice with better viewing angles and sharper images.
Moto X come compacted with 10 MP camera while Nexus 5 bears an 8MP camera. Other than the MP difference, Moto X features quick and easy camera specs. For example, the focussing time of Moto X is relatively less. Google Nexus 5 lacks camera shutter. Nexus 5 enjoy better image quality in comparison to Moto X. The other specs included in Nexus 5 are HDR+ Mode, PhotoSphere and more.
The Nexus 5 battery stands in comparison to the HTC One but the battery still fail to impress when compared to Moto X. Moto X roughly provides 5 to8 hours more in a single charge than the Nexus 5
Though the performance is likely the same but in some parts Nexus 5 wins and vice versa. Despite the 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, Moto X has been faster than the 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU of Google Nexus 5. Nexus 5 was better in loading heavy games while Moto X was excellent in loading websites on Chrome and playing games.
Moto X and Google Nexus 5 support voice action service via Google Now. Moto X has smarter touchless voice support with its voice command always on.
