Whether it is about impressing the sycophantic analysts or its numerous loyal customers, the Samsung’s Note 2 “phablet” has succeeded in making its mark—ever since its launch in September 2012
However, the popular 5.5-inch Note 2 is now gearing up to face competition from AT&T’s LG Optimus G Pro, which is waiting in the wings for its U.S. release in the third quarter of 2013. As per Get Mobile, the much acclaimed LG Optimus G Pro has managed to pass through the FCC, en-route to AT&T’s network.
The two rivals have much to compare. They both boast of a 5.5-inch screen size. However, the LG Optimus Pro G is all set to click pictures with its full 1080p resolution, while the Note 2 features a 720p resolution display. Apart from providing its users with clearer videos and pictures, the LG Optmus Pro G is also packed with a 1.9 GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor. In comparison–the Note 2 possesses a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor.
As far as the OS is concerned, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean sits tight on the LG Optimus Pro G, while the Samsung model has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The reports about the pricing and carriers are yet t trickle in. However, its FCC filing is signaling a Ma Bell release in the near future.

LG has confirmed that its latest flagship smartphone, the Optimus G Pro, will launch in the South Korean markets “next week”. Launching in the home market could give the phone an additional advantage in selling more units. The company has already confirmed the specs, and if it’s as good as we hear, this phone sure has the potential to make a mark.
The Optimus G Pro will have a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 401 ppi. It will be powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM, and will have 32 GB of internal storage as well as a microSD card slot. The phone will also be fitted with a massive 3140 mAh battery, which will keep it powered and running for a long time, and will also support wireless charging. LG Optimus G Pro is finally coming to hometown Korea to give strong competition to Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Being LG’s first HD panel, lot of expectations is attached to the device. The phablet from LG has a 5.5 inch screen and a pixel density of 401 ppi which is much higher than the Apple iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S III, the BlackBerry Z10. Powered by quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064, it has great graphics, thanks to Adreno 320 GPU crunching.
Looking at the competition, LG Optimus Pro is going to face, it should have a 2Gb RAM and a 32 GB storage which should be expandable till 64 GB.
