According to some persistent reports appearing online, Nexus 6 release date is not going to happen in the near future. In fact, the latest smartphone from Google is not likely to see the light of the day in 2014. There are also reports claiming that the launch will not happen in 2015 either as Google is presently working towards a project, being known as the Android Silver.

Android Silver is believed to be producing premium devices operating on the Google mobile platform upon execution of which, the Nexus line of products will simply be redundant. The company is targeting to materialize the project in 2015. If that happens, Google Nexus 6 might actually never arrive.
