OPPO to Showcase ‘Oppo Retractable Camera’ at Inno Virtual Event

Oppo released a teaser video on Twitter of a retractable smartphone camera technology. It is an in-house retractable camera specially designed for smartphones.

The retractable design will automatically retract the phone camera in case you accidentally drop the phone. Along with this, Oppo retractable camera is waterproof.

Although other pop-up modules raise vertically, Oppo company says the device sensor can be extended even horizontally.

Features of the Smartphone

Oppo says that its “self-developed retractable camera is not annoying as pop-up cameras on other smartphones”.

The name of the smartphone has not been revealed by the company. But the teaser suggest that the camera will be equipped with 1 or 1.56-inch sensor.

The sensor will be paired with a lens having 50mm of focal length and f/2.4 aperture.

Oppo will showcase its ‘Oppo retractable camera’ at the Inno World virtual event. The event will be held on December 14.

The two-day event will be held in China from December 14 to December 15. The Inno World virtual event will begin at 2.30am IST (1.30pm).

The visitors of the event can customize their Avatars and join the event remotely.

Upcoming Oppo smartphone

Oppo is also working on its first ever foldable smartphone. There is leaked information about the upcoming smartphone.

But Tipster (Digital Chat Station) post disclosed that the new Oppo smartphone- Oppo Find N 5G will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor for selfies. The company’s Find branding says that the smartphone will pack flagship-grade features.

The device could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC along with Adreno 660 GPU. The smartphone could also have a 7.8 to 8-inch OLED screen display.
