OnePlus has come a long way since it started as a smartphone brand. It has ventured into other consumer electronics such as wireless earphones, smart TVs, mechanical keyboards, and smartwatches. Recently the company announced through its community post its venture into the AR smart glass sector.

Project details
This is a user-driven project. Thus, the company has joined forces with its community to design its first AR glasses. Five designs have been shortlisted from the community. The company shortlisted one from Concept Central as well since it got the highest votes.
About
Although the company has not shared any details about its AR glasses, looking at the prototypes and renders, it seems very distinctive as compared to other similar products. It is expected to have adjustable temple tips, a built-in camera, etc. The glasses would come with the tagline “the entrance between physical and digital worlds.”

There is no information about the unveiling or launch of this product for the world to see. However, it is confirmed that OnePlus is working on AR glasses. It is speculated to go official by the end of 2023.
