New Features Added to WhatsApp: Quick Replies, Manage Orders & More

Last week we reported about the new features that WhatsApp rolled out for iOS users. The company came out with the new design for the “contact information” according to a WABetaInfo report.

Now, WhatsApp has come out with more such features to enhance the experience for their users.

New Features Added to WhatsApp

Quick replies

WhatsApp is working on a new feature known as ‘Quick replies’. This feature will allow the company’s business account holders to send frequent text messages to its customers. You can see the new feature option besides other options like Camera, Location, Contact, and Gallery in the chat window.

Manage orders

This new feature from WhatsApp will allow businesses to manage orders placed by their customers in a better way. As per WABetaInfo, businesses will be able to generate orders for a certain customer by just opening the chat share action menu. For now, the feature is being developed for the iOS-based business app. However, the feature will soon be developed for the company’s Android-based business app.

Reaction notifications

Another interesting feature that WhatsApp is soon going to roll out is ‘Reaction notifications’. WhatsApp introduced controls that let users configure reaction notifications in its latest beta version of the desktop app.

Users can either switch on or switch off this reaction notification feature. The feature shows whether a person has reacted to a user’s message or not.

Global voice note player

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has already started to roll out its global ‘voice note player’ feature for Android beta app users. This feature allows the user to play voice mail notes even while reading or switching to other conversations on WhatsApp.

The feature is already available for iOS beta apps and beta version of WhatsApp desktop.

Voice waveforms

Last but not the least, WhatsApp has started to roll out this voice waveforms feature for its desktop and web-based platform. The feature is currently available for iOS-based app and Android.
