Djokovic says
Joking, the Serbian star player said, “When I was a kid I liked Iron Man a lot, so I try to impersonate Iron Man,” when he was asked about it after the match. He further added, “My team delivers an incredibly efficient nanotechnology to help me deliver my best on the court, so that’s the biggest secret of my career. If it wasn’t for that, I probably wouldn’t be sitting here.”
Maker says
Tao Technologies, headquartered in Italy, claimed to be the designer of the technology that Djokovic is using. The company tweeted, “One of the best tennis players of all time, Novak Djokovic, last night showed at Roland Garros, during the match against Marton Fucsovics, a “patch” declaring that it’s “an incredibly effective nanotechnology” and the “biggest secret of his career.”

The tweet further reads, “Well, the nanotechnology in question is Taopatch®SPORT and we, Tao Technologies, are the Italian company that produces them. We specialise in patenting and creating innovative nanotechnological devices for human health and well-being.”
On being requested to give more details about the device, the company tweeted saying, “Taopatch® is activated by sunlight and body heat. The body’s infrared activates Taopatch®’s layers of nanocrystals. Once turned on, the nanocrystals emit photons towards the body providing several health benefits.”
How does it work?
The website describes, “Taopatch is a patented wearable nanotechnology device that combines acupuncture with light therapy.
It contains layers of nanocrystals, which capture your body heat and convert it into impulses of very weak light, which is then emitted onto the specific points on your body.
This light stimulates your Central Nervous System and enhances its communication with the rest of your body.”

More benefits
The company website reads, “Taopatch helps your body rebalance itself, which leads to a surprising number of benefits. Our various protocols can help with different symptoms from improving posture, balance and flexibility, to boosting athletic performance and focus, and reducing stress, anxiety and chronic pain.”
Djokovic is known for taking alternative paths especially when it comes to his health and well-being. He refused to get Covid-19 vaccines which prevented him to take part in various competitions. He did not opt for surgery for his elbow injury but choose to take holistic medicine for the cure. He even teamed up with Pepe Imaz, a former player turned spiritual guide and coach, who preaches love and peace. Imaz believed in the healing power of exceedingly long hugs.
