WhatsApp will shortly stop working on more than 30 smartphones, reports affirm. WhatsApp is the widely used messaging app that was officially launched in November 2009.

Why will WhatsApp stop working on some smartphones?

This is happening because it is a part of the periodic upgradation of WhatsApp application. During the upgradation period, WhatsApp stops supporting the older versions of iOS operating system, Android, and other older models of smartphones.

Previously, it was reported that WhatsApp will stop working form November 1, 2021. Now, WhatsApp will stop working on more than 30 smartphones from January 2022.

However, the question is users of which all countries will be impacted the most? Will Indian users also be impacted?

Will this news impact Indian users?

The news that WhatsApp will stop working for few of the smartphone users is not going to impact Indian users for now. The list of smartphones that won’t support WhatsApp in 2022 is only targeted for Brazil as of now. There are more than 100 million WhatsApp users in Brazil.

Whereas there are around 480 million WhatsApp users in India. So, Indian users need not to worry about the news.

What should be done to keep using WhatsApp on smartphones?

If you want to keep using WhatsApp on your device without any disturbance and problem, make sure you keep updating your WhatsApp application. This is advisable for all iOS users and Android users.

If you have an older version of operating system or smartphone, then its quite possible that WhatsApp will not be updated on your device. Due to this, WhatsApp application on your smartphone will stop working in coming days.
