Interest Peaked with the Launch of GIGABYTE Gaming Laptops G5 Series in India

The Taiwanese computer manufacturer GIGABYTE launched its new gaming laptops in the G5 series on Thursday in India. They are housed with an 11th Gen Intel i5 H series processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics card, and 16GB DDR 43200Mhz memory.

Variants and pricing

The laptops are available in three variants. Those are:

  • G5 KD housed with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
  • G5 MD supported NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti
  • G5 GD equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050

The introductory price of the laptops starts at ₹68,890. They would be available for purchase on Flipkart from 31st October 2022.

The Director of GIGABYTE Technology India Pvt Ltd., Sunil Grewal said, “India has witnessed a meteoric rise in mobile and PC gaming over the last decade. The overall interest in the gaming segment is at an all-time high making it a perfect opportunity for us to take our first steps in the market.”

Design, specifications and features

As far as the design and other features go, the laptops have a 15.6-inch thin bezel FHD 1920×1080 IPS-level Anti-glare Display LCD and for a better gaming experience, they have a 144Hz Refresh Rate. To make the sound experience better, the G5 series is equipped with DTS: X Ultra audio technology with surround sound innovation virtual 7.1-channel.

Additionally, the ’WINDFORCE’ cooling technology helps the device function better when using multi-tasking large apps and files or heavy gaming. The company claims that this factor should help the GPU and CPU to perform at 100% capabilities.

The laptops would come pre-installed with a one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 personal version. Other key features include three memory slots that make the total memory capacity expandable up to 6 TB, a 2.5” removable bay, adaptive DTS:X ultra-audio technology, and support for high-speed PCIe 4.0×4 SSD slots.
