Unfortunately, Android users can’t recall sent emails. However, they can enable a setting that prompts Gmail to confirm before sending any email.

- Open Gmail
- Enable the “undo send” feature
If you are not using the latest version of Gmail, follow these steps to enable “undo send”.
- Click on the Wheel like icon
- Next, click on the settings in the drop-down menu
- In the General tab, you will see the “Enable Undo Send”, tap on it.
- Select the duration of time for which you can undo an email from the “send cancellation period” in the drop-down menu.
- Click on “Save Changes”.
- From the upper-left side of the Gmail inbox, click on Compose.
- Enter the subject and recipient.
- Type in your email’s message.
- Click on send.
- Click on undo when prompted. By default, you get five to 10 seconds to recall your message.
- Review your unsent mail.
- Set a time you have before you can no longer undo an email.
- Click on the “wheel” like icon.
- Next, click on Settings
- Click the “Send cancellation period” drop-down under the General tab.
- Select a suitable time from the drop-down menu.
- Click on Save Changes.
How to recall emails on iPhone?
- Open Gmail
The Gmail app resembles a red “M” on a white background. It will open your inbox if you’re logged in. In case, you aren’t logged in, you will have to enter your email address and password.
Note: You can’t recall an email sent from Gmail on Android.
- Click on compose
- Enter the recipient’s email address
- Add a subject and the body text
- Click on ‘Send’.
- When prompted, tap on “undo”.
- Review your unsent mail
