This feature is free for businesses to use. Facebook has a more casual approach to recruiting. Many companies and businesses use Facebook jobs as a platform to hire candidates albeit in a more casual setup. If Facebook Jobs were to be compared with LinkedIn, one of the starkest differences would be the amount of formality involved in the job recruitment process. Posting for Jobs on LinkedIn requires money from companies.

However, this is not the case with Facebook Jobs. The targeted ads on Facebook allow potential candidates to apply for the job which is specific to their skillset and interest.

Applying for a job through Facebook would blur the line between professional and personal front to some extent. Some candidates may not mind interacting with their potential employer on a more casual level. In such cases, Facebook is a great platform. But those who strictly want to keep a distance between their personal and professional lives, LinkedIn is a great option.
