Google Pay to Roll Out ‘Hinglish’ Support for Android & iOS Users: Here’s How to Switch

Google Pay, popularly known as G-Pay, is rolling out support for Hinglish. Hinglish is a hybrid language, that is a combination of Hindi and English. The language support was announced at Google’s India even where several India-centric features were also announced.

It was in the year 2021 when the support was announced but now it is finally being rolled out.

How Google Pay users can change their default language to ‘Hinglish’?

Google Pay users can easily switch to Hinglish on their app. Read the steps below to know how:

  • First of all, the user needs to launch the Google Pay app on his device
  • Then, on the top right there will either be the initial of the name or the profile picture
  • Tap on that and there you will see the ‘Settings’ option click on it
  • Once done, you will see the ‘Personal info’ option under settings
  • Tap on ‘personal info’ and choose the ‘language’ option
  • Now, you will see a list of languages there
  • From the list, choose ‘Hinglish’ and you are good to go

Follow the steps mentioned above and your default language will be changed to Hinglish.

 Previously, Google Pay had a total of nine languages for its users. With the addition of the new language ‘Hinglish’, the Google Pay app now has a total of 10 languages from which users can choose their preferred language.

These languages include:

  • English
  • English (United States)
  • Hindi
  • Bengali
  • Gujrati
  • Kannada
  • Marathi
  • Tamil
  • Telugu

Several reports suggest that Google is working on a feature that will allow users to make transactions using just voice.

So, we can hope Google Pay and Google Assistant to work together and allow the users to pay using their voice. Also, the feature will allow all the users to check their parking status and extend their parking as well.
