Browsing is fun and much needed but the fact that it drains the battery too much, cannot be overlooked. Run the beloved Google Chrome and the massive drain the battery goes though is something worth so much complaint. Google is finally ready for a big change to aid in improving the battery usage for Chrome. Thanks to the browser getting the dedicated Energy Saver feature, the drainage woes might soon be a thing of the past.
The inner workings
This feature would work on the same way battery savers work on most devices such as mobiles and laptops. The browser will work to limit the performances for certain features and also reduce all background activity. Google officially says, “Running low on battery and don’t have a laptop charger nearby? When you’re browsing the Web with Chrome and your device battery level reaches 20%, Chrome will save battery by limiting background activity and visual effects for websites with animations and videos.”
The latest feature is set to be a part of the Chrome 108. Google stresses that this battery saving thingy is a superb add-on and will help put users in proper control of how a browser runs. Chrome can well be customized as per your preference and you will also be able to disable this mode if you so please.
