If Realme stood 2nd in smartphone brands, then which smartphone brand has taken over as the best brand and stood 1st?
Which smartphone is at the first position?
As per the reports of July 2021, Xiaomi was ahead of Samsung and Apple. It became the best number one smartphone brand all over the world.
Xiaomi is still leading the race and is at the first position among the best smartphone brands.
The brand was at 20% market share as of October 2021. This 20% also included the shares of independent brand Poco.
Samsung stood at 16% ranking it below Realme. Whereas, Vivo had 13% market share in the quarter.
Things however changed during the 3rd quarter.
Xiaomi topped the charts with 22 % of the market share. It was followed by Samsung’s market share of 19%, according to Counterpoint Research’s Q3 data on smartphone shipments in India. Xiaomi, in June 2021, sold most of its smartphones in its history. The first-ever smartphone by Xiaomi was sold in 2021, and now it has already sold around 800 million smartphones globally.
Realme and Xiaomi were at a very close fight
Realme was very much closer to Xiaomi in terms of rivalry, for the first time ever. The two brands are always engaged in trivial banter on Twitter. “This rapid growth is a testament to the brand and evidence of our consumers’ love for us,” said Sheth.
During the time of VOVID-19 pandemic, Xiaomi saw a big push towards the premium category with its Mi 11 series.
