Instagram is Testing Full-Screen Feed, The Likes of TikTok

While the Meta-owned photo-sharing platform Instagram is reportedly testing the ‘Pin Posts’ feature, it has also started to experiment with full-screen vertical home feeds.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri posted a video on Twitter confirming the testing of the new type of feed. In the caption, he wrote that they are testing a new, immersive viewing experience in the main Home feed. He also asked the people if they are in the test, to check out the full-screen home feed and let him know what they think about the new feed.

Instagram has taken this idea of displaying full-screen videos on the home page from a renowned video-sharing app TikTok. Instagram claims that it wants to “bring video more front and center”. By doing so they will make Reels a more significant part of the Instagram app.

After TikTok was banned in India, Instagram instantly came up with the Reels option. This made Instagram an extremely popular video-sharing platform. And now, to enhance the experience for its users it has decided to give a new look at how videos and images would be displayed.

Instagram keeps bringing new updates and features for all users. Not only this, but the video-sharing platform also takes care of its user’s privacy. You can also check how to limit who can contact you on Instagram.
