Google Unveils Text Watermark Feature

A text watermark feature has been added to Google Docs by Google. The text watermarks can be used by the users on each page of the document they create. Using the new feature users can make watermark namely “Draft” or “Confidential” to showcase file status before sharing it.

How will Watermark option work?

You will find the watermark option on the Insert menu of Google Docs. The feature will let users customize the size of the font, positioning, transparency, and other vital features of the watermark.

Along with this, the watermarks will get preserved when you will import or export Microsoft word documents. Google will make the text watermark feature available for “all Google workspace customers, as well as G Suite Basic and Business customers”.

The feature was first rolled out on 24th January. According to sources, this feature might be fully accessible for the users in forthcoming weeks.

Google- the search giant announced the image watermark feature for Google Docs back in September 2021. The feature allowed users to add an image watermark on every page of a Google Docs document. Also, it is an ideal feature to add company logos, custom designs, and branding to the documents.

 In the month of June in 2021, Google Workspace platform was made available by Google for all the users. Google Workspace has applications like Sheets, Google Docs, Chats, and much more. As of now, the service can be used as a central hub to collaborate with others.

The service also offers a smart canvas feature. This allows the users to instantly assign roles as well as to generate checklists in Google Docs. Additionally, it allows users to share their Sheets, Google Docs, and Slides documents easily on a Google Meet call.
