The Meizu Pro 5 is here and looks impressive at a glance. This is the second Meizu phone launched in 2016. In August, we saw the launch of Meizu MX4. With two consecutive launches in recent months, the Chinese mobile phone company hopes to increase its dominance in a market that is already flooded with many Android phones. However, the biggest competitor to the Pro 5 is the Samsung Galaxy S6. Meizu has used the Samsung Exynos 7420 SoC chipset to power the device. Therefore, it would be interesting to see how these two phones fight it out in the consumer market.
Specs at a glance
Meizu Pro 5 is a premium model that uses the octa-core Samsung processor for greater performance. While the processor is sufficient to keep it at par with other Samsung devices, the Pro 5 meets the S6 on other counts as well.
First, lets take a look at the screen size. While the Meizu Pro 5 sports a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, this is smaller than the 5.10-inch display of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Screen resolution of the Pro 5 takes a beating at 1080×1920 pixels against the 1440×2560 pixels of the S6.
Since we’re comparing the Pro 5 to a Samsung device, comparing the camera is a must. The Pro 5 has an edge here with a 21 MP rear camera but both phones use a 5 MP front camera. In fact, the camera of the Samsung S6 has an awkward bump, which is a dampener.
Expect better battery life with the Pro 5 that has a 3050 mAh battery capacity against the 2550 mAh battery of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Storage capacity on both phones is the same with a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. However, the Meizu Pro 5 has expandable memory unlike the Samsung S6 that no microSD slot.

Contrary to the predecessor models, Galaxy Note 5 flaunts a 7.6 mm thick build. The slim handset, which comes in a metal frame is made more attractive with a glass back. It is also easy to grip with curved left as well right edges. Apple iPhone 6s Plus also has a slim design with complete metal finish. While iPhone 6s Plus has a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 IPS LCD display with 3D Touch sensitive feature, Galaxy Note 5 comes with 5.7-inch 1440 x 2560 Super AMOLED display. Though both the phones offer excellent display, Samsung’s vibrant display keeps it ahead in the competition.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is also ahead in terms of camera as it comes with 16MP sensor camera while Apple iPhone 6s Plus comes with 12MP camera at the rear. Yet, iPhone 6s Plus has a much better battery compared to Galaxy Note 5 and is also available much widely compared to the Note 5. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge are about to be released as they are reportedly in the final stages. The case makers for Samsung IT-Skins have revealed the renders that would be used for Note 5 and S6. The revelations have shown the dimensions and layout for these two gadgets.
Knowing about Note 5 dimensions
This time, the new Note 5 from Galaxy will be a standalone variant in this category. The Note 5 will be a double-edged variant with no S pen and lower specs. The experts have stated that this does not actually define everything about the developments that has happened recently, but the pictures that have been released clearly shows that it is having a flat surface and curvature of the screen is not there.
However, one can obviously see some slope at the rear panel of the phone. In addition to this, Note 5 will not have a removable battery this time as a frame is overlapping the edges, which is obviously a stylish touch to the phone.
S6 Edge- The flamboyant player from Samsung
Coming at a measurement of 5.7-inch screen, the S6 Edge from Samsung would make headlines after its release. The renders clearly shows that there would be a automated or push facilitated S pen for the phone. In addition to this, the dimensions and other features would be somewhat same as other Edge variants available in the market.
