The online world is flooded with lots of news related to the launch, price and other details about the much awaited and rumored Apple iWatch. Majority of analysts are predicting the launch of the device in October 2014, but at least one analyst is expecting a delay in the launch to November 2014 with mass production beginning as late as September 2014. Meanwhile, notorious Apple tax could increase the price of iWatch to USD250 or even USD300 given the rumored production difficulties and components involved.
It is being noted that the iWatch is not only about health and fitness but will also be known for its good looks, aesthetics and luxury. The device would be fashionable and would have the capability to work in sync with the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
The screen size of the smartwatch is believed to be 1.3-inch and 1.5-inch respectively with flexible AMOLED displays. However, another report claimed that the smartwatch is likely to have a display measuring 2.5 inches diagonally and be slightly rectangular.
In terms of power, the iWatch is expected to be available with a 200mAh to 250mAh battery along with wireless charging.
Meanwhile, the device is anticipated to be equipped with sapphire lens cover, biometric recognition, an NFC chip as well as health-related sensors.
Additionally, KGI securities’ analyst Ming Chi Kuo, who has a good track record with Apple predictions, has recently said that the rumoured iWatch will have varying price points.
