Amazon Black Friday Deals:Discounts On Kitchen Appliances, Cameras, Jewellery And Toys

Amazon, the largest online retailer, sells almost everything that you would ever require. Thus, it does not come as a surprise that any conceivable gift you can ever think of, will be on sale at this online store for the occasion of Black Friday.

For the entire Thanksgiving Week, Amazon will offer amazing discounts on categories like computers, kitchen appliances, cameras, jewelry, toys and many more.  The Black Friday and Thanksgiving sale will continue the entire week with limited-supply and varying deals that have already started on 24th November, Sunday. Amazon claims that it released a new deal every ten minutes.

The festive season has already begun and throughout this holiday season, Amazon deals are easily available at the online store and also with the AmazonSmile program. Under the AmazonSmile program, 0.5 percent of the total price of suitable products from Amazon is donated to a charity that you want at all times when you shop at the same. Different charities you can choose from are St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and American Red Cross.

For Amazon, Black Friday and the Thanksgiving week have historically been a significant day. In the previous year, Amazon registered a new record of 1 billion dollar sales that happened on Black Friday itself. In the year 2011, Amazon had created another record of shipping out Kindles as many as four times as compared to what it had sold on the same day in the previous year. These records are difficult to break. Even if Amazon does not register a new sales record this year, there is Cyber Monday coming which sees an unprecedented spurt in sales. Though Amazon Black Friday deals for this year have already begun, it is on Black Friday and Thanksgiving that the deals will break new records. Black Friday deals by Amazon are any time better than those announced by Walmart or Best Buy.

Nikon Coolpix S9300: New Megazoom Camera Launched

Nikon recently launched a new sleek megazoom model, the S9300, as a successor to its immensely popular S9100. Now we all loved the S9100 for its gamut of features and amazing performance. But does this new model take things forward and get better than the S9100? Let’s find out.

Tech specs: The S9300 does have a higher resolution of 16MP, so in this regard, it sure is a step up from the previous model. The camera features an 18X optical zoom in a point-and-shoot sized package, which we adore. The lens is a 24mm wide angle lens, which lets you take in more in each image that you capture. Nikon’s even added an in-camera GPS feature in this new model, so that users can geotag the pictures they take.

Performance: Even though the S9300 is a new model, we have to say in terms of overall performance, we were a little disappointed. While the S9100 reproduced images quite well, the S9300’s sensor lags in reproducing color and sharpness adequately. The images clicked with S9300 were not as vibrant as the ones the S9100 clicked, giving them a faded look, quite unlike a Nikon camera. In terms of video capture, however, the S9300 performed rather well, recording at 1080p for HD videos.

Other features: Like most of the Nikon entry models, this camera lets you play around with limited manual settings, and you can’t adjust the shutter speeds or the lens aperture. But the automatic settings and scene modes are convenient enough for the novice photographer. The only downside was when clicking in the macro mode – it lacked the right amount of focus required when capturing subjects in a close up.

A 3-inch LCD screen at the back lets you view images quite clearly, and this camera is available in multiple color options – all black with a matte finish, glossy silver, glossy blue and even glossy red. The flash pops up from within the camera when you require it and the camera even has a mini-HDMI port for direct connection to HD TVs for previewing images and videos. Its small package for the megazoom makes it an ideal choice for the frequent traveler who likes to pack a light bag.… Read the rest
